SoundWater Cypress Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flowmeter

SoundWater Cypress Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flowmeter

SoundWater Cypress Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flowmeter

The SoundWater Cypress is a fixed-installation clamp-on transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter. Electronics, bidirectional transducers, an integrated ruler and the M12 power/communication connector are built into one anodized-aluminum body that straps to the outside of the pipe — nothing touches the fluid, there is no separate transmitter box, and a typical install takes about five minutes. It runs on 12–24 VDC, connects to SCADA/PLC via 4–20 mA and pulse or Modbus RTU, and is set up wirelessly from the free Orcas app or the optional SWT Flow Computer wall display.

Cypress is offered in two mounting geometries. Double traverse (one-piece “-C” models) puts both transducers on the same side of the pipe and is the default for 1″ to 14″ lines. Single traverse (two-piece “-CM” models) mounts the transducers 180° apart for the strongest signal on large pipes, corroded or acoustically difficult lines and tight spaces, covering up to 48″. Cypress is certified for Class I, Division 2 hazardous areas and rated NEMA 4/6P.
